Just weeks ago I wrote that I hoped Lindsay Lohan could overcome her troubles, get cleaned up and mount a successful comeback into show business. I'm still not sure her newfound drama-free life will take, but I hope so. This week, Lindsay is everywhere, it seems. She has a huge interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show AND she's also hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend. And the whole world will be watching to see, as I will, whether Lindsay can pull this all off.

There's no doubt that Miss Upton is over the moon with joy. Landing the cover is a major boost to any model's career. Not that she needs it, exactly: Upton is already a very successful Victoria's Secret model, after all.

Whitney Houston Dead at 48

Pop idol found in California hotel room

We're losing too many of our ex-addict songstresses. Whitney Houston's publicist just confirmed to the AP that the famous singer was found dead today in her hotel room in Beverly Hills, California. She was 48.

Houston's bodyguard discovered her unresponsive at the Beverly Hilton hotel this afternoon. She was pronounced dead at 3:55pm. So far sources have not reported the cause of death, although Dione Warwick and Cissy Houston have claimed that they had spoken with Whitney just half an hour before she died. They say that nothing seemed to be wrong with her; they were in fact making plans to attend the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party.

Actor Macaulay Culkin was photographed earlier this week, and the pic sparked a huge debate. Why? Because he looks horrible, to say the least. Culkin appears extremely emaciated and totally scruffy - but it's the weight that's most concerning. Is he sick? Is he using drugs? Hopefully not, but one does have to wonder.

Macaulay Culkin is only 31 years old, but right now, he looks like he weighs less than he did as a child in the Home Alone movies. I'm not exaggerating. Promise.

I have quite the diverse set of friends and “acquaintances” on my Facebook. Most of the time I sign on, get a rough indication of each of these people’s lives through their status updates and then sign off, irritated and wondering why I’m still a Facebook user. I’m glad to see someone has compiled a hilarious list of “Facebook types” and happy to find that my “friends” represent all forty six types.
